Updates & transparency
Release notes & responsibility
What BSAT does, how it handles your work, and where human judgment matters.
Updated
01 / Release notes
What you can do in this version
BSAT brings your sustainability answers, supporting notes, and scores into one assessment.
- Build an organization profile. Record the organization and reporting year, then work through the assessment topics.
- See your results. View scores across core issues, the Sustainable Development Goals, and capital frameworks to help identify improvement priorities.
- Keep and move your work. Save a draft in your browser, export a copy, import saved answers, or print a report. Signed-in users can also save assessments to their organization in the cloud.
- Manage account and team access. Use the account page to view your organization and available membership controls. Group invitation and billing features have been added for launch preparation.
- Keep drafts with the right organization. Browser drafts are separated by account and organization. Save handling has also been improved when switching between assessments.
What is still being checked
Paid access remains off while final team-capacity and payment checks are completed. Referral links that identify the person sharing them are planned future work.
02 / Security
How access and saved work are handled
- Sign-in uses an email link. Treat sign-in and team invitation links as private, and only use links you requested or expected.
- Cloud records use organization access rules. Database permissions control which organizations and assessments an account can access. Removing a team member revokes their cloud access.
- Team invitations have limits. Invitations are tied to a verified email address, expire after seven days, and can only be accepted once. Group capacity includes pending invitations.
- Billing is checked on the server. The account system checks subscription information and verifies payment notifications. A shared checkout return link does not transfer a subscription to another account.
What to keep in mind
A browser draft stays on that browser and device; clearing browser data may remove it. Export a backup before clearing data or changing devices. Check the save status before closing an assessment.
Downloaded reports and exports are copies you control. Removing someone's cloud access cannot recall copies they already downloaded. Use a trusted device and avoid entering passwords, payment-card details, or unnecessary personal information in assessment answers.
These are descriptions of the implemented controls, not a claim of independent security certification or a guarantee that every risk has been removed.
03 / AI statement
Calculated scores, with people accountable
The assessment calculates scores from your answers using programmed scoring rules. The current assessment code does not use a generative AI service to produce those scores or to verify your evidence.
AI assistance was used to prepare this release-notes page. AI-assisted wording can contain errors and needs human review. Ecodemy remains responsible for the content it publishes.
If you use AI to help draft your own assessment answers, check every fact against your records and review what information you share with that service. AI-generated text is not evidence that a sustainability claim is true.
04 / Responsibility
Use the result as a starting point for action
Your team is responsible for the inputs. Use accurate information, keep supporting records, and obtain permission before sharing organization or personal information. Review the reporting year and organization before saving or exporting.
A score needs context. Missing information, assumptions, and the quality of your evidence affect how useful a result is. Officer or third-party verification details record a review step; entering those details does not itself establish independent assurance.
People make the decisions. Use BSAT to support learning, planning, and progress tracking. A completed assessment does not by itself establish certification, legal compliance, or an independently audited sustainability claim. Have an appropriate person review results before using them in public reporting or major decisions.
Ecodemy is responsible for its implementation. Ecodemy's modifications, scoring adjustments, software, reporting, and integrations are separate from the original BSAT framework credited below.
